Last week my wife and I returned from our annual trip to New York, and the highlight of the trip this year was when we saw the Lion King Broadway. I have never seen a Broadway show before, so when my wife talked me into seeing the Lion King Broadway, I didn’t really know what to expect. I’m not the kind of guy who sees Broadway shows every weekend, so I was a bit concerned over spending that time watching the Lion King Broadway.

She said she was walking down the street, when she saw a shop that said “Cheap Lion King Broadway Tickets.” I don’t usually buy things from shops like this, but when you are thinking about seeing the Lion King, and you see a sign that says, “Cheap Lion King Broadway Tickets,” you don’t usually pass it up. Which is why my wife marched right in there and got us some Lion King tickets.

When she told me she’d gotten some good Lion King tickets, I don’t think I gave her the reaction that she was hoping for. She was hoping for something more along the lines of, “Oh, that’s great honey!” Rather than, “Oh, er, that’s, uh, fantastic. I guess.”

But she told me we were going, and that was that. Boy was I surprised. The Lion King Broadway was one of the best things I’d ever experienced. Maybe because I wasn’t expecting much, or maybe because the show was so incredible, but I had a great time.

My wife asked if I wanted to see it again when we come back next year, and I said, “Of course!” I might even be interested in seeing some other broadway shows. You never know what’s going to turn up.

I guess the Lion King Broadway was indeed the highlight of our trip. We did visit the MET, something we do every year. And we also took a tour of Wall Street, including going inside and watching people on the trading floor. It’s nothing like the movies where people are frantically shouting and screaming.

They were just kind of standing around watching these numbers go across a big screen, and sending all these hand signals back and forth. It seemed pretty laid back.

But once again, the Lion King Broadway was a great show, and I recommend it to everybody who visits New York.
